The Boatshed is one of the busiest sail training centres in Victoria. Every year our team introduces thousands of people to sailing — seven-year-olds in their first Optimist, school groups on their first excursion, adults ticking off something they've meant to do for twenty years.
We're always looking for good people to join that team.
Why The Boatshed
We are based on Albert Park Lake Ten minutes from the CBD, on the water, outdoors.
Flexible by design Casual and sessional work that fits around study, other jobs and the off-season. Tell us your availability and we'll build around it.
We'll train you up We support staff through Australian Sailing instructor and powerboat qualifications.
A team that actually likes each other Small crew, no corporate nonsense, everyone rigs boats. Plenty of our instructors started here as participants.
How to apply
Send us a CV and a few lines about yourself — your sailing background, what you're accredited in (or working towards), and when you're available. If you don't have a formal CV, an email is fine.
