Whitworths Mobile Tackers Fleet at Inverloch

What a magical place to sail at Inverloch!

Immediately after Christmas the Whitworths fleet headed to Flinders YC on Westernport where 36 kids took part in a Tackers 1 program and then it moved to Pt Leo Boat Club where 45 Kids had fun learning to sail. It was then off to  Inverloch where a further 30 kids were involved.
The program is part of a partnership between YV, our member clubs and Whitworth’s - 
Whitworths have provided 15 brand new Ozi Optits. (this fleet will be sold to participating Tackers clubs at the end of the season at 50% of their cost and replaced with new boats)
Clubs promote the program locally and attract and register the interest of local kids and holiday makers. Clubs provide the venue and support the delivery.
Yachting Victoria provide the Tackers program, qualified instructors and deliver the program.
Next year the plan is to deliver the Tackers level 2 program at these clubs and extend the Tackers 1 activity to all clubs along the Victorian Coast and Inland Waterways that want to attract kids but are are not resourced to run their own program.

Sailing is superb on the lake at Easter! Bookings open for Tackers 1,2 and 3 programs during Term 1 holidays.

Immediately after the Melbourne Grand Prix. The Lake reopens  for our Formula Tackers 1,2 and 3 programs
