The Tackers 1,2,3 program - is the main introductory sailing course recognised by Yachting Australia.  Completing the Tackers 1 program will mean students can sail safely by themselves and can be done in a term.

They can move then through the various levels from Tackers 1 (blue tshirt) -introduction to fun sailing to Tackers 2 (green tshirt) - better sailing to Tackers 3 (black tshirt)- racing skills.

The cost per child for each program (based on 20 hours) will be $220 incl GST. Our advertised public rate is $285 incl GST. We can accommodate 60 kids in total at the one and flexible with dates and times.

The cost includes Tackers Merchandise – T Shirt, Cap and Water Bottle, Fruit and Cordial during course, Yachting Australia Certificate at completion of course and a life jacket swim at MSAC. Also we never cancel as plenty to do off the water as there is on.

The Boatshed supplies the Oppie boats, PFD1 life jackets, log book, handouts and instructors. What the kids need to bring: Bathers, Towel, Wetsuit (if available), Shorts (also ideal over wetsuit for protection), , windproof and waterproof jacket, old sneakers or wetsuit boots,  sailing gloves if available, bike golf gloves etc are good).

Another option is a 3 hour come and try Little Tackers program. Same equipment etc but just a taste as only 3 hours and not an accredited program. Cost $44 per child. ( does not include tackers merchandise)

The school will need to transport the students to and from the Boatshed, we will do the rest.
